UW OFFICE OF MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS, FELLOWSHIPS, & AWARDS

  • 2024-25 Zachary H. Boyce Memorial Scholarship application. The scholarship award amount is $2,200 (one award). Questions? Email osfaschp@uw.edu. Deadline: Monday, June 3, 2023.

  • McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill: Full scholarship for master’s or professional studies. Applications open from June 1st to September 25, 2024, for the Fall 2025 cohort. Join McCall MacBain Scholars information sessions here to learn more.

  • UK Scholarships: 2025-26 graduate-level studies/research through the Churchill, Gates Cambridge, Marshall, Rhodes Scholarships. Interested in pursuing graduate study and/or research at a university in the UK starting in fall 2025? Consider whether these scholarship programs fit your interests and goals. Most require university nomination to apply (but not all). Get more details, information, tips and advice about exploring UK graduate programs and applying for UW nomination through our Global Fellowships Prep resources.

    • Gates Cambridge Scholarships: Supports 1-4 years of graduate study at Cambridge University. Open to citizens of any country outside the UK considering almost any graduate-level program at Cambridge.

    • Rhodes Scholarships: Provides funding for 2-3 years at Oxford University. Open to citizens of any country, and eligibility requirements and nomination processes vary by country. US applicant eligibility requirements include a 3.7 GPA or higher and 18-23 years old by Oct. 1, 2024, or up to 27 years old if you will complete your first degree after 10/1/23.

    • Marshall Scholarships: Provide 1-2 years of funding to study at any university in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship, 3.7 GPA or higher, and earn a first bachelor's degree anytime between April 2022-August 2025.

    • Churchill Scholarships: Support one year of graduate study in mathematics, science and engineering fields, or science policy at Cambridge University. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship and graduation anytime between fall 2023 and summer 2025.

  • Fashion Scholarship Fund Case Study: Scholarship awards are $7,500. Students interested in any aspect of the fashion and merchandising industry are encouraged to apply. Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors apply as individuals. This year’s case questions focus on digital strategy, brand awareness, and product development aligning with a brand. The case studies have key content highlighted and example projects embedded. The online case studies are password protected but may be accessed with the passcode: FSFmemberschool2024. Due: October 17, 2024

  • Washington Research Foundation Fellowship and Levinson Emerging Scholars Award support undergraduates who want to pursue creative and advanced bioscience and related research under the guidance of UW faculty. Apply to both programs through a single application! Awarded students will receive up to $8,000 across three quarters and travel support to present at a professional conference. UW ATHLETICS POSTGRAD SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Gertrude Peoples Scholarship: Two $1,000 scholarships awarded to a graduating male and female student-athlete who is pursuing a graduate or professional degree at an accredited institution. Recipients of the scholarship are allowed three years from receiving the award to enter a graduate or professional program and collect award funds. Nominations are decided by the Student-Athlete Academic Services staff.

    • Submissions Process: All documents must be submitted to Student-Athlete Academic Services

    • What to submit: Complete application form, personal statement, letter of recommendation, and an unofficial

      transcript

    • Qualifications: You must have exhausted your eligibility. Applicants will be reviewed on their contribution to UW Athletics, commitment to academics, personal character, and financial need.

  • Scott G. Greenwood Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship provides financial assistance to current or former UW student-athletes who have been accepted into a graduate degree program at the University of Washington. Final nominations are decided by the Greenwood Family. Scholarship amount varies by year (2024 amount: ~$5,000-6,000).

    • Submissions Process: All documents must be submitted to Student-Athlete Academic Services

    • What to submit: Application, personal statement, and letter of recommendation. The Greenwood Family may conduct interviews with applicants who meet the criteria.

    • Qualifications: You must have exhausted your eligibility and already been accepted into a graduate program at the University of Washington.
